I called again about my insurance and the lady told me that there was some error, and they were erroneously charging people the extra $15 a week for not doing the bio screen in Sept. even if they were only on the ancillary plan last year. She also said something about the arrears, and maybe that that was an error? Not sure.
She claimed that this was an error and they are "working on it" (Whatever that means, I mean just give me my money back asap, OK?) and that we would be getting refunded for the error.
The first guy I called told me I was being charged for not taking the bio screen and i'm like, who would take a screening when they are not insured, don't qualify, don't know if they will qualify and/or be insured 4 months from now, in Jan.? Makes no sense.
When I applied for the insurance, it said you may be charged the extra $15 a week "if eligible for and enrolled into medical coverage during the 2019 health benefit year and failed to submit a Biometric Screening (or waiver)..."
I only had vision and dental last year because my hours were short of the cutoff, and I don't consider that "medical coverage."
Hopefully she's right and I get it corrected and get my money back - the $15 a week, at least, but i'm not so sure. No one here seems to be having this issue. (???)
When they say they're "working on it" I assume it means they are going to issue checks as repayment for overcharges or theyll add it (eventually) to the paychecks. But if they did this to alot of people it may take a while to get everyone paid back. Hopefully they wont take too long to get it done.
