Local 1996 person here....any word if the lay offs will hit our stores? I can think of one person who needs to be told to hit the road!

None in the Seattle area. Though they're cutting hours like crazy then act like they have money to blow on useless gimmicks that fail in the long run.

it's coming. there was a conference call and email today warning not enough managers left since the restructuring so more reductions and reassignments coming soon.

Heard some store near Atlanta lost thier whole management team

Atlanta area started today.  Got my call for a  meeting tomorrow.  I guess Im headed out the door.   33 years experience.  Too old and make too much money to keep me around

Can you just go ahead and file for retirement and avoid a lay off?

Original poster here. Management HR was in our store today (on an employee complaint) and after the employee left HR rep and ASM were in a meeting. HR rep didn't look too happy and it appeared she was doing most of the talking

lots of unit manager changes announced Saturday and lots of "retirements"

one of mine got shuffled.

I too heard rumors of stores where the entire management team was replaced
