I am a Drug GM ADL, but they also use me as backup receiver. Our current receiver gets 6 vacations a year. Shouldn't I get relief pay for receiving just like I do when my Drug GM Dept Lead is on vacation ???!!!!!! They just using me and it's really making me MAD AS HELL
You get what ever pay your contract negotiates. Say for example our receiver is grocery index pay so they'd be on the grocery pay scale. You're only guaranteed lead pay like ($1 more) if you're classified as "lead" or "department manager" in the computer system. Other wise your rate of pay is what ever you are classified at in the computer system.
depends on your contract. in UFCW 1996 you only get relief pay if it's a dept head that goes on vacation so that means you'd only get relief pay if your Drug GM manager goes on vacation
You'll get the same rate of pay regardless. Even if you were remarkably able to get the increased pay I doubt the union would back you and honor the difference. I've tried before and got a we'll get back to you answer. Grievances take fu-c--k-en forever.
