Anyone have an idea of how long it takes for the transfer to go thru?
Depends. Outside of pandemic conditions, a week or two if they are competent and don't mind transferring you.
Otherwise, they might string you along like a sucker for months until you get pissed off and quit.
With the pandemic, I'd say give them a month as long as you investigate alternate employment.
