I hope this makes you smile. I live in the country. So you can imagine that it takes me a while to get to work. I do see deer at the side of the road on occasion. However, today I passed four or five turkeys on two different moments. One of them went across the road. And it's not even November yet.
We don't live way out in the country but live on an acre close to everything.
We have a herd of 6 deer in our yard everyday almost. Occasionally, we have a flock of turkeys stroll across our yard.
We have coyotes behind our house. When a police siren is blaring during the daytime, they will howl back at it. Same with emergency tornado siren test once a month.
I have even seen a fox at 2am while at work on lunch break.

I live in Colorado, in a city right at the base of the foothills. The elk like to come down into town every now and then to hang out in a certain field, and there'll be a line of cars pulled over a quarter mile long from people taking pictures. There was this one night when I was driving home, and there was just this one big ass elk standing on the sidewalk under a street light, watching me as I passed. Part of me wanted to stop and get a photo, but the other part was worried about getting charged. If I go for a drive in the foothills, deer and wild turkey (full flocks of them) are pretty common sights.
Took these about a half hour from home:
Thought these were otters at first. More likely muskrats. Still, entertaining to watch:
Further afield... I've yet to cross one, but there are mountain goats up here:
^ End of May, and snow at 14,000 feet.
Saw some other critters up near that high, though:
