"This pay cut is essential to these workers and it's being taken away"
Essential? We'd lose it and go back to our normal pay at some point anyway. How can essential workers be so greedy while so many other people are out of a job? Although I do like this part:
"But these workers say they deserve hazard pay until they no longer have to wear a mask to work at a grocery store."
If Kroger is so cheap as to want to ditch hazard pay, they can use this as an excuse to ditch the stupid mask order.

Well, they won't ditch the mask order, so they need to reinstate the pay...May I remind you that local chain Meijer is extending THEIR hazard pay at least until June 20th and other chains around the country such as Albertson's and Ahold (Food Lion, Giant, Stop & Shop) are continuing THEIR hazard pay to employees??? And it's not just us, but Aldi, Amazon and Walmart that need to continue this, as well...
3 months of our job duties no having 10 additional steps when we already had a s-h-i-t load of work to do.
3 months of being pushed around passive aggressively by @$$ holes.
In 3 months our ceo got a 19% pay increase. Thanks Rodeny. You have the balls to let your grocery workers die off and you rack in the money. May god have mercy on your soul.
This is the reason I have and WILL continue to accept gifts from customers. So far one customer have me $50.00 cash, and another bought a 12 pack of beer and gave it to me as I helped him out to his car, and I also got a $25.00 gift card to MacDonalds just for "bring there."
Original poster here-I have heard that about 67 Kroger employees have died nationwide and SE Michigan area (Wayne/Oakland/Macomb) have a lot of Covid 19 cases
The union can suggest anything it wants. Their Lord and master is under no obligation to reveal proprietary information. Even the store phone number is secret, they only give it out so people can call. People get Covid at work and you get called to a meeting, ordered to sign a paper that says you were present, told that someone got sick and that what you do about that is up to you. Anything you do can get retaliation including doing nothing. Company is a menace
