Seems to me that if Kroger over paid then that is on their fault, not the employees' faults.
Yes, it was true. But after this reached social media, and there was a backlash about it, Kroger has decided to relent and let them keep the money. Story here:
I would have added an option of a payment of $00.00 and turned it in. Kroger can afford it. If they need the money that bad, then feel free to take it out of management bonuses.
Exactly. Plus the employees deserve every ounce of hero pay given to them. Glad the employees do not have to pay it back. But now, that Kroger has relented on repayment, are they going to "retaliate" against the employees for fighting against it? (By retaliating, I mean getting back but doing so within the union contract so they do not get in trouble)

I have been watching your replies for a while and I have not said anything as of yet. HOWEVER, what makes YOU think it's ok to "add an additional option marked 'repayment of $00.00?
I HIGHLY doubt you would do that. If confronted and asked for repayment back would you actually do that? If you did, that overpayment only lasts so long. It wouldnt even cover court costs when they pulled you into court.
You talk big behind the computer, when the truth is, if told to pay back what you were overpaid you would do it.
And as an assistant manager I would make sure YOU DID pay it back.

Rodney and other higher ups can take a pay cut. Wish the workers would all rally together and tell these ****suckers pay us our dues or stock your own damn stores
And as an assistant manager I would make sure YOU DID pay it back.
Rather than fight for your employees, when they're working at risk? Resign. You're not qualified for your job.
Thank you! Well, as much as I LOVE to burst assistant managers bubble, we do NOT have to pay it back, and I for one WILL NOT pay it back. Rather than stay holed up in the office, why not actually come out on the front lines with us and do some actual WORK for a change?

hahah Yeah what this guy said. go **** yourself assistant store worthless manager. all you do is walk around with your hand up your ass doing nothing. Id pay you back by spitting in your face
If a little old lady drops her money Im picking it up. She can afford it.
Not the same thing. Old lady's not making bank off your obscene workload, and then giving herself a massive raise while finding ways to cheap out on your compensation when something outside of either of your control or influence increases sales and said workload.

You must steal food and sodas at work too I bet. Kroger pays you well and you have to steal still?

I don't know if YOU steal or not. It's not my business.

By taking this money its stealing. And if you don't want your buisness intruded then don't post it over the internet. Thief.
It's not stealing if it's been given to you. THIEF. ^
If someone gave me $400-$500 on a check then wanted it back, well, not sorry to say, they will NOT be getting it back.

Would you do the same thing if a bank teller accidentally gave you too much money? If Kroger wants their money back, one way or another they're going to get it back. It's money that wasn't earned.

Then you're dishonest and thus a thief. You probably commit fraud on SNAP as well, steal from the register, food and drink off the shelf. I guess I don't blame you though if I was making $3.35 an hour at Kroger like you I'd be desperate as well. But then I guess that would classify you as lazy as well since you're not doing something to change your situation. Have you no shame?
Their loss. Plus they can afford it. I'm glad that they decided against trying to get it back. They seem to forget that we run the store. Corporate owns it yes, and they do NOT know their head from their a$$hole, but we run it. If it weren't for us, then there would be no Kroger
Seems to me that if Kroger over paid then that is on their fault, not the employees' faults.
Why do you even care? Do you still work there? Yeah? Get a life ass hole.
Oh wow. Let me guess. You work in the Floral Department? Because I can't see anyone with such a cheery attitude working anywhere else. I "care" because I know what Kroger is and does, and how they portray one face to the general public and their shoppers (customers) and then show an entirely different face internally.
Maybe you should go check the pharmacy aisle and see if there is something to calm you down and help with your anger management issues. Find a Kroger where you don't have to wait outside for four hours and spend six feet away from other customers. Then again with your anger, maybe that's for the best...

nope. you literally do nothing to run the company. You are at the bottom of the pole. not even above ground really. You can be easily replaced. you run nothing but your mouth and empty threats behind a screen in your basement.

There is no kroger that has lines outside. exaggeration much? I don't work there. You care because you're a idiot with nothing in your life HENCE get a life ass hole!
To give money back that is rightfully mine? Nope. I have NO shame in NOT doing that. Ever. : )
Plus Kroger has stated that they were not taking it back after the backlash they recieved.
Well you have no conscience either I guess. You pretty much took that extra money that belonged to another associate. Oh well. Kroger associates only care about themselves anyway.
Kroger GAVE that money to the associates. How the h*ll can I take it if Kroger gave it to everyone? And if he were forced to give it back who would get it? The CEO's for their bonuses. Kroger takes and takes and takes. They would be the thieves in this case taking from US.

You actually make a really good point. I was just giving you flak cause I was bored. idk you at all so glad you got some extra cash. Treat yourself!

I have moved on since Kroger, and I do quite well in life, thank you. By the way, "*******" is usually one word. You really should lay off the GTA V and spend more time on your English homework, kid. You're the reason why teenagers shouldn't work for Kroger.

many Krogers -- our local one included -- had lines outside for a little while when this virus crap began. People would have to wait outside because the company was limiting the number of customers inside at one time.
I am sure there are still some Krogers in the USA that still do this now.
Do you have COVID? One possible symptom is being a dumbass.

Lol you probably still work there and making a dollar more an hour 5 years later is not doing well in life. You're not even on my level. People like you shouldn't work for kroger cause you're a waste of space. You're the only idiot I've heard of that needed to watch a video of washing their hands twice cause your just that damn stupid.

I left in 2015 after 14 months and have never looked back. I Don't work for Kroger. I wouldn't go work for them again if it meant a choice between homelessness and paycheck. This is a terrible company internally that treats it workers poorly. I mean, just look at you. You've been treated so badly that your emotional and mental states have clearly become compromised, and now you act like a 13-year-old douchebag instead of an adult.
