Does it matter what time clock i use to clock in?

Hi!

Our store has 2 main Kronos machines for clocking in - one in the main manager's office and another in the front end area near the guest service help desk. Sometimes I switch which machine I clock into so, for example, one day I'm near the manager's office so I clock in there or the next day I'm near the front end area so I just clock in there. My question I guess is if this is OK to do since it's connected to the same system or if it will mess up my pay somehow.

Thanks everyone, and stay safe!!

The machines should be linked to one system. Unless otherwise noted or told to by management, you should be ok to clock in with either machine. We have 2 time clocks as well because it makes no sense to race to only one time clock when you need to punch out and one is already in your vicinity

No. You can clock in on any machine. Some times the store likes to use the one in the front end or where most of the people congregate because they can see who clocks and when. Some times I'll clock in at our back time clock because our front one is adjacent from self check. I'm already getting b-i-t-ched at by checkers to do this or that and I have like 3 f-u-ck-en minutes before I can clock in. Customers harass me for self check clears when the attendant is standing near by them. Service center customers are starting to complain about this or that. Some times it's just easier to clock in where no one can harass you before you get on.

If your off the clock ignore them. Whatever they need can wait unless it's an emergency.
