Self check out is not a cashier free zone. We still have to operate certain commands on your screen. Not all stores use the hand held. And NO You can not cashier on the checker side. This is accessing a restricted area and you can be filed for trespassing due to accessing a restricted area.
Ps. My store has stopped cleaning the monitors because we're tired of the harassment. We'll clean if asked but god gave you a brain for a reason. Use it. don't be an @$$. I use the same nasty cleaning rag all shift and is no more sanitary than your shopping cart.

Well if you associates didn't smell like ass in the first place we wouldn't cringe at you touching the screen while were using it. Ever heard of soap? It shows that you are probably dirty as all hell with your same rag comment. No wonder customers look at you with disgust!
I refuse to touch the screens without gloves. Most of the customers dont wear them and I really dont want their germs.
Yes, but you are still getting their germs........but onto your gloves instead of your hands. Which means you have to change your gloves after each transaction just to be 100% safe. Or wash your gloves. Gloves are, in effect, almost useless. But if it makes you feel better psychologically, I guess that is good.
