Any one think its still a serious thing? I've had a few nurses come in and some doctors who say that if some one died from a gunshot would they might put it was covid that killed them. They say they get like $13000.00 for a person who dies from covid. All about the money it seems. I can see this being true though.
Health officials have admitted that if a deceased person tests positive for Covid 19, they're labelling it as a Covid 19 related death, even if the cause of their death had nothing to do with Covid 19. Their excuse is "We don't know enough about this virus to determine if it had any factor in the cause of the person's death." Frankly I have a hard time trusting all these people like Dr. Fauci because their mindset is so narrow. Their whole world revolves around disease. It's all they know. So they're always predicting worst case scenarios.
I trust Dr. Fauci like I trust Hillary Clinton. (Not at all!)
And yet, Dr. Fauci has been the Director of the National Institute of Allergy And Infectious Diseases since 1984 (If he's still there in 2024, that will make 40 YEARS in the role!) and has advised SIX presidents about disease and disease prevention. He has a Presidential Medal Of Freedom, numerous awards and praiseworthy citations in many publications. he also has 45 honorary doctoral degrees at various universities throughout the country and abroad...he has also been a pioneer in AIDS research, as well as a number of other deadly diseases....What have YOU done lately???
Have you guys forgotten SARS, MRSA, swine flu, bird flu, Ebola and Zika? He was there for ALL of that!
Seriously, I think a lot of people just don't like being cooped up at home...They wanna party like it's 1999 and don't like people telling them what to do...Well, usually if I don't listen to my own doctor, guess what??? BAD THINGS HAPPEN! And I've got only myself to blame for being the stupid idiot I am for not listening...But, again, people don't like to be told things for their own good...Well, better suck it up because I predict this thing is going to go on for a lot longer than most people have the patience for and we're just going to have to live with the consequences for a long time to come, like it or not! Sorry, but that's JUST THE WAY IT IS!
And by the way, Hillary Clinton is not on TV everyday advising people during this pandemic...Dr. Fauci IS and so far, the states that have heeded his advice are flattening the curve, if it hasn't already flattened by now...The states that have not heeded his warnings will find out soon...Wait till the weather gets cooler and September comes...We may be in for a rough road ahead as a country, so y'all better get prepared now if you haven't and stock up on that PPE...
If people would just use their own brains instead of letting the faux media think for them, maybe everyone would get the message! I prefer to think for myself, thank you very much and look at the science and results...I'm a "facts-and-numbers" kind of guy! You can say the world is flat all you want, but it doesn't look like it to me from space...And if you think even that can be doctored, well, let's just say that we're not that bright and intelligent enough as a species right now to be THAT inventive...Let's face it, we're all pretty damn dumb and our foolishness and idiocy will show itself time and time again before this pandemic is over...Mark my words!!!
it seems obviously real and not a hoax to me. yes cdc was dishonest about masks, they were trying to prevent a mask shortage. if they had been honest more people might listen to them. but its a disease that very well can kill you or can kill someone you know or someone you dont know. yes, rights have been subverted by authoritarian governments. but the facts still stand imo
People with Type-O blood should consider themselves lucky. Several studies have shown that people with Type-O blood have a significantly lower chance of catching the virus, and if they do catch it, their symptoms are mild or non-existent. The gene sequence that the virus looks for when it's trying to invade a cell is also the gene sequence that determines blood type. Some Type-O people might actually have natural immunity to the virus. People with Type-A blood have the highest chance of catching the virus and suffering respiratory problems.

What about type B? I'm B positive. I had an annoying cough the past couple months. No fever or runny nose. No more coughing as of the middle of last month.

Types B and AB fell somewhere around the middle. Google blood type and Covid 19. There's all kinds of studies being done around the world. Be sure to read more than one to get the most up to date information. The biggest one is being done by 23 and Me. They're all coming to the same conclusion. People with Type A blood are more susceptible to the virus and are more likely to have respiratory problems. In one of the studies, all the people who sucumbed to the virus had Type A blood. It has to do with genetics, antigens, and antibodies. Apparently the virus "looks" for a particular gene sequence when it invades a cell and this gene sequence is also part of the gene sequence that determines blood type. People with Type A blood also have blood that clots more easily which is often the cause of respiratory problems.
Some people with Type O blood may actually be protected from the virus. If you have Type O blood, you have antibodies against Type A blood and Type B blood. These antibodies could keep someone from being infected with the virus. If not then they certainly keep the infection under control. One study showed that a person can only be infected by another person with the same blood type. Again it has to do with antibodies. Of course there's more involved than just blood type but it appears to definitely be a factor. The thing that makes me mad is every time news like this comes along, some infectious disease expert has to shoot it down and say we have to wait for a vaccine. People asked about having immunity after having the virus and the "experts" say we can't be sure you have immunity and to wait for a vaccine. Well, doesn't a vaccine do the same thing as having the disease: cause your body to produce antibodies against the virus? What's the difference between antibodies produced naturally from having the disease and those produced in reaction to a vaccine? Frankly, I'm suspicious.
As far as your cough goes, if you weren't actually sick, it was probably from post nasal drip caused by springtime allergies. Anyway, since you're still alive, if you had had the virus, you're obviously better now.
Here's my question. Where's this big spike they said was going to happen when all these people attended all these protests without masks? It's been more than enough time for people to show symptoms of the disease and yet all the graphs I've looked at show the number cases trending downward. Yes, there are day to day ups and downs but the overall average is dropping.

The big spike is about to occur now that everything is about to friggin open back up again. Seen the recent article about a woman and 12 out of 15 of her friends catching it at a bar in Florida recently when they broke quarantine?

The media is frantically searching the country for any and all evidence of a second wave. Since the huge crowds of thousands of protesters and rioters were congegating in over 150 American cities, there is not much evidence of a huge surge in cases. It has been about 3 weeks since that happened. Yes, A few isolated hot spots.........Indiann reversations in NM, increase in the numbers of reported cases (mostly mild) in CA, FL and AZ, (where testing is now in high gear) and the media will HIGHLIGHT them for the public in order to keep fear ramped up. Open your eyes and look very carefully at all sides of the controversy.

There's got to be more to the story than they're letting on. For example, who were these people in quarantine with? If they were in quarantine with someone who was sick from the virus, then it's most possible they got the virus from there. The woman did mention she was a health care worker. Perhaps she already had the virus and she was the one who gave it to her friends. I find it hard to believe that all 15 of them got it that one night. There's just too many red flags in that story.
Its DEATHS that matter, people, not cases. Treat it like you would any other illness: you don't cower inside when we're in an unusually bad flu season... hell do you even notice in that case?
Keep in mind that it takes a couple weeks for symptoms to show up and because not everyone's getting tested, how are we to know whether people have it or not? What if they're getting misdiagnosed? I prefer to wait out the summer and see what happens in the next few weeks...We still don't have a vaccine for this thing, so it'll be interesting to see what happens when September comes!

You need to stop worrying whether you or somebody else has something or not. For all we know, you could be carrying the virus for measles, which is far more contagious, and pass it to a stranger you walk by in the grocery store. Someone else could unknowingly be infected with some other virus or bacteria and pass it on. The point is you can't be overly concerned with things that could happen. Now if you know you have something, then common courtesy dictates that you stay away from others. The problem with the Covid 19 tests though is they're not 100% accurate. So if you are worried and get tested, it's important to do the test more than once to see if the results are the same. Deborah Norville, from Inside Edition, had herself tested using the nasal swab test and it came back positive. They did the test again and it showed up negative. She did not have the virus. The test gave a false positive result the first time.

I think that will change with better testing and a more thorough understanding of the virus...Just for the record, we here in Michigan have had only 255 new cases today...Florida just topped out at 4,000 NEW CASES IN ONE DAY!
We forget about the meatpacking plants, the nursing homes and anywhere where people are too close together without proper masks and social distance and that could be fueling some of this, too...
Say it's a hoax all you want, too...BUT, say it at your own peril...

I prefer to get my news from less Liberal sources, and no, I don't necessarily mean Fox. Although they do ask the questions I would ask instead of just accepting everything as the absolute truth. Do I believe the pandemic is a hoax? No, but I do think they made a mistake in telling people everybody was going to get it and millions of people in the United States were going to die when CDC themselves admitted they didn't know much about the virus.
