I hate to say it but I'm getting fed up with instacart shoppers that don't organize their orders. It goes a hell of a lot faster if your organize them into separate carts before approaching the check stand. Rather than pass it to the cashier after the bar code has been scanned. Then go oh, this went with the prior order after the receipt printed out. Please organize your orders if you don't want to argue with the cashier. Because you're being an asinine moron when check out time comes and you're getting super frustrated with the instacart shopper.
Secondly, please don't pretend to know how to cashier unless you have been one. Stop giving us commands on **** we already know. I'm already telling customers what you think I don't know my job let me work. This is incredibly insulting. Please fu-cken stop telling us there's sh-it on the bottom of the cart. Ever hear of bob and mitch? This is half of our job.
Third don't fight the age restricted question when it pops up. Yes non alcoholic beer counts too. legally we can deny the sale of alcohol. A a cashier is to check both the instacart shopper and the customer on instacart. Online orders are the exception and we still have to ask the instacart employee for theirs.
Fourth Don't show up to the check stand then run away while you play with the other toys in the front end. This is highly disrespectful and if a question during the order comes up we end up holding the line waiting for you.
Fifth separate your personal orders rather than leave them floating in with the rest of the order. We don't know if you don't tell us.
Six a lot of stuff is the instacart employees responsibility not the campfire's. All we do is take payment and process it. The rest of the sh-it is your responsibility so stop harassing us over personal **** that you never separated from your order.
Seventh if you bring your kids to work you still have to follow child worker labor laws. I see kids working with mom or dad all day long and this violates child labor laws. I can understand if you have no baby sitter but don't make them work along side you all day long.
We have VERY few Insta-Cart people who actually know how to separate orders. A vast majority of them do not and WILL NOT tell nor separate different orders to cashiers. Then get mad when they are rung up as one and need it re-rung. Then they get even more mad when you point out that they need to let the cashier know ahead of time.
Door-Dash is even more strange. We had one guy say, "I need an order for xxx." He says it's for Door-Dash. We tell him he has to go and get the order from whatever dept the customer got it from. He was like "Don't you guys go and bring it to me?" I reply "No, you do that." After all, it's his responsability. He stared at us irritated for a while then went off to get it himself when he realized we were not going to do it for him.
I had one customer that got more than the limit of meat that she was supposed to get. and the she said since she was instacart she couldn't change the order so we had to give her the meat.
