Required for employees not required for customers. Until the company passes a rule that says customers to we really can't do any thing about it. In wa state they're working on a law to mandate face masks out side or else.

I think they're concentrating too much of their effort on the spread of the virus and not concentrating enough on who's getting sick.  The overwhelming majority of people who test positive for the virus don't get sick.  If things were left alone, nearly everyone would test positive for the virus but only a small fraction would actually get sick.  Studies have shown that those who get the sickest carry a specific genetic marker in their blood.  Instead of testing to see if you have the virus, they should test to see if you carry the genetic marker.  Those people people could then take the necessary steps to protect themselves.  Frankly, I think all the mask wearing, social distancing, and protective shields is ridiculous and unnecessary.   The virus is still spreading regardless of whether people do those things or not.  Let the virus run its course, since prevention doesn't seem to be working, and concentrate all efforts on treating those who are most susceptable.

And yet, they're the only things that seem to be working so far...They're not wearing masks or staying apart down in Florida, Texas and Arizona and numbers of new cases continue to rise in those places within the last week or two, breaking records for one-day totals in the process!

I don't think dismissive views of the severity of the virus, denials of its existence or swift re-openings of states and governments are gonna stop the rising number of deaths across the country attributed to this thing...Because of this country's sheer stupidity as a whole in the way they view and/or handle this virus, it's only gonna get worse, I'm afraid!!! no

Maybe we can learn a thing or two from South Korea, perhaps?

I don't understand the logic in how getting more pay makes it better.  Yes, more pay is nice, but if you're really a scaredy cat about the whole thing, more pay isn't going to offer you anymore protection from the virus.  By the way, when my shift is over, the mask comes off,  even if I have to stay and do some shopping.

If they actually did that, it would be regarded as wage theft, which is illegal.
