This is what Kroger is giving all of us next week, while other companies are giving extra hero pay bonuses
Protest against it and give it back!! Or maybe apply at the other places, if you would make more $$$?. You know how many people lost their jobs or will soon be without one? How many retailers have announced they are closing their stores? How many small business now have "prem. closed" signs in their windows. Yes, you come in contact with a number of people in your shift, how does an extra $2.00 an hour change your risk? If you don't feel safe, don't clock in. If you feel sick, get tested and be on paid leave!

Jfyi, the 'Associate Insight Survey' is NOT annonymous like they say. If is is why ask for employee id's? A co-worker told it as it is on the survey, and he "found employment elsewhere." No, he didn't quit; shortly after he was just...gone. I think they got rid of him.

I think this is company wide, the only individuals that have motivation to get an untruthful outcome are STR Managers that job might depend on the survey. Every year something happens before the survey occurs to basically allow it to be "overlooked" if the results are not favorable. Last year they eliminated a majority of the District Teams, which resulted in less communication and less training etc. In reality, other then little changes, what really comes from the survey?
Groceries and a free full tank of gas. Isnt that what we'll spend our hero pay on? In other words, he wants you to spend his money responsibly. So that's what he did. Instead of blowing it on yet another useless pair of shoes or a video game to add to your long backlog.

How many people spent their GOV $1200 on a new TV, Sofa, instead of paying their bills or saving the $$$ for unknowns? ****, how many people got the extra Unemployment $600, and splurged on unneeded things. Everything is about choices, if your complaining about getting this $100 and 1000 fuel points, maybe you should give it back!

Some of us have to pay our bills. I assure you I am not spending my pay on Video Games. I dont know if you know this but an extra $2/hr helps. Id also hardly call shoes worthless since you need to wear shoes to work. I need to buy some new clothes too but Im a bit short on money another thing that $2/hr extra would help with. They frown upon not wearing clothes to work too.

So should every company pay their employees a $2.00 hazard pay now? Are people working in restaurants or other retail environments getting paid an additional $2.00 because COVID is in the world. Yes, in the beginning COVID was scary and there were a lot of unknowns. Yes, COVID is scary, but simple steps can be taken to greatly lower any change of getting it. I haven't seen any new stories of a grocery store being the center of a outbreak.....

How do you explain us getting a new sign outside our break room that there can only be 4 people in there at a time then? That sure sounds COVID related to me. Customers are still coming in not wearing masks and the store refused to enforce the mask policy and these people practically step on my toes when I try to keep distance, there is still a lot of risk of getting it and cases are rising in my city again because a lot of people have pretty much abandoned all preventative measures and dont even try anymore. The risk is still very much there, it is not going away and it will probably get a lot worse again. I am extremely lucky to have not gotten it at this point honestly and theres a very high chance I could and yes I take all the preventative measures I can but its not up to just me, its up to other people's behavior since they're the ones spreading it without care.

Completely agree, its all about people behaviors in spreading or preventing the spread. Paying someone an extra $2.00 is not going to change any of this. If anything, if your STR MGMT isn't enforcing the mask policy, then hold the STR MGMT team responsible for their inaction. If one of these customers ask for assistance, politely say you would be glad to get someone to assist them and call STR MGMT to assist them. If you as an employee are being held to "Company Policies", insist the STR MGMT team do the same. I live in a "Mask Mandate" state, so its not as big of an issue, but still does occur. The Mask Policy is posted and other means are available if the customer needs groceries. In reality, while no retailer wants to turn away a customer, one customer may need to be turned away to keep the others safe along with employees. Just because "Karen" doesn't want to wear a mask, doesn't mean others should be happy with it.

Well the $2/hr helps people to save in the event they have to quarantine or there's another lockdown or something. If they or their family gets it there are medical costs involved so thats not cheap and we dont get paid much at Kroger cause they're cheaper than dirt, I cant help but feel you ought to be a little more concerned about that. This company doesnt care about us,you shouldnt defend them.

If you are advised to medially quarantine, the company places you on a paid leave. Yes, there might be medical costs, but anytime someone gets sick there are medical costs. If your an employee and worked the required hours you would have health insurance. In reality, all retailers don't pay anything, because customer demand low prices and expenses are the only thing able to be controlled. If you believe pay is an issue, your Government Officials control the min. wage, the Federal Minimal Wage hasn't been increased in 11 years. Employers are only going to pay wages that are similar to the industry. As a consumer, you can't dedicate lower prices and expect the same service level or employee wage to be high.
I defend what makes logical sense, stating "We should get an extra hazard pay because COVID, is like saying a driver should get paid hazard pay for driving a car". Both jobs have hazards, but if everything follow the safety rules, nothing happens. Yes, hazard pay is normally paid when an unknown hazard exist. COVID in the beginning was a hazard because it was an unknown illness, not its been studied and defenses put into place. OH....and Nurses and Doctors didn't and don't get hazard pay either. In your mindset everyone should get the $2.00 extra pay because COVID is effecting everyone in some way.

idk, i think i was 'real' on my surveys and nothing happened to me like that that i know of. definitely have given negative feedback
as far as the 100$ and 1000 fuel points (we also got a five dollar gift card and goodie bags but our store had a grand re-opening) i appreciate it even tho i wish it were more. i've thought maybe kroger just cant afford things. it's been evident to me by the way they changed the coupons to where the least valuable coupon comes off before others. and how again and again they'll send someone out to fix broken equipment instead of replacing it. just seems like a cheap ass company that had survived on charm. would take better if i could find it
Brought an Amazon Gift Card no credit from my card. My store have Starbucks I will see if I can use it there.
I bought an amazon gift card and starbucks today and it worked on both. But you have to tell the starbucks worker that you want to use it before you use it otherwise they'll have to redo the transaction.
Someone with my number spent both my $100 and the gas points the day it became available and I knew it was a thing. I wish it would have been a pay check bonus :(

So how long have you been letting them use your number and or allowing them to get your employee discount? Plus, I'm sure you have been using the fuel points earned from their purchases. Karma in action here.....

I never use the fuel points, but it would have been nice that one time. By the time I got to using my card, at self checkout, it had about $3 left on it and it asked me if I wanted to use it. Did it not ask at a regular register? As far as I know, it's just immediate family and one friend that might use my number... unless it was my **** of an ex-roommate.
