Lately my store has had complaints of people not wearing masks. Only to find out the individual filing the complaint has a dipper chin mask or has their nose hanging out of it like a di-ck and won't wear it properly half the time and not at all the other half of the time. yea thanks @$$ holes. B-itches
A new manager is enforcing that every employee inside the store wear a mask at all times(day and night; salesfloor or backroom). I see a tyranny brewing. But, that is the kroger policy that everyone recently signed on the covid19 policy sheet.
We have two choices: Wear a mask or quit.
Kroger has two choices: Relax a little or hire 400,000 new employees. The shoppers won't let kroger relax on the policy.
The union won't have any pull on this. They have already been watered down.
We're being force-marched into communism. People laugh when I talk like this, but examine the situation, it fits perfectly: a governing body creates or exploits a societal fear----and then controls the whole public under the guise of 'it's for the good of the people'.
And if you refuse to comply you're an Enemy of the State. They get enough citizens pissed off and scared of dying, and those people will turn on you like lynch mobs. The government doesn't even need to do anything at that point, it's being done for them. N O T H I N G NEW about any of this, it's been pulled many times before all over the world.
Me? ima ride this out. Keep my head down, my face hidden, my voice quiet. Live out my life the way I choose, the best I can. There will be no winners in the rebel circles, believe me. This thing is just gonna have to play out the way it does.
As far as the virus itself being a death sentence? I just spoke to a trusted friend and former health care co worker. She's a RN at a busy hospital, and she says yes, covid is killing a lot of people-----old folks with failing immune systems and younger people with pre existing (mostly lung) conditions. Most everybody else gets it and gets over it. Her advice is same as mne: Use common sense, mask up in social quarters, do constant hand washing.
That's it. That's all we can do. If your job is valuable to you, play along with the dictates.
I laugh at your comments. As crazy as they sound, I have drawn the same conclusion and decisions. I do not subscribe to conspiracies. But, this year has been too bizarre.

If you're not going to wear it properly don't wear it at all or at least pull it up when you're talking to people. *sigh*
If youre going to complain about it then just stay at home and be paranoid there. *ugh*
The science is that people who wear PPE incorrectly tend to touch it more frequently than those who don't wear any at all. Touching or adjusting a mask leads to higher infection rates as you're more likely to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth. Also I'm an introvert so I tend not to leave my home as much as possible.
Hence why I currently do not and plan not to contract COVID.

Just be careful, Bag Boy...I'm one of those Krogerites who has been dealing with COVID for a couple weeks now. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but it hasn't been as easy as I thought, either...I am not sure how I got the COVID, either...Most people who have it are saying they had no idea where they got it...All it takes is one wrong move, too, or one slip and there it is...I usually get allergies this time of year (nothing new), but if it wasn't for the loss of taste and smell, I probably wouldn't have suspected anything odd at all!!! The health dept. contact tracer who called me said this virus is very sneaky, so be on guard, guys!!!
