Can't see the picture but if it's the one with the blue light, it's a refrigerant leak alarm. If that goes off, you're suppose to evacuate since refrigerant can be poisonous. The other device that you may be talking about is wi-fi booster. Supposedly it allows you to use an RF unit inside the freezer or cooler with the door shut. Normally the signal can't through if the door is shut.
