so I havent see anything new about the supervisor position in a while. Just wanted to hear more recent news about if the position is worth taking now? Do you get to hire your own associates?
I was offered the position at $45k/ year and am contemplating taking it.
From what I have heard from reliable sources, it's a goant pain the arse. Money is good but not worth the stress. One guy I know got so beaten down by it he snapped on his autistic kid at home and sent the child into hysterics that it took an E.R. trip to quell.
Do you already work in Pickup? One things to remember, I believe this is a Salary position......you will be on call if %%#% hits the fan. Also, since this isn't a Union position, you would not have any Union rights or be cover under any contact (no holiday pay, etc).
Whether it's worth it or not would greatly depend on your store. I applied for it once at my original home store, back in the day a couple years ago, didn't get it. This was before i transferred to pickup. I lost the bid to a deli manager from that current store while i was a bakery manager at a different store.
I transferred to pickup in a narketplace after i stepped down from bakery, and i'm a lead. I took a pay cut from bakery (just a couple dollars an hour) but at least i get overtime, while my supervisor doesn't......

Yeah that part about holiday and union is false. And besides you dont need the union anyway OP
eCommerce Supervisor is a SALARY position.....they don't clock. eCommerce Lead is an Union hourly position. I'm not saying anyone needs the Union, other then fighting for higher pay and healthcare every 4 years, they really don't do anything except fight pointless battles for Associates that in most situations should have been fired.
Yeah, supervisors do not get union benefits (for better or for worse) and they don't get holiday pay. That's why they prefer to try to take the holiday off, there's no benefit for them to.

Is an e-commerce supervisor like a comanager position? Every store Ive worked they dont seem to have any individual responsibilities I just kind of flows everywhere chaos and confusion.
