and gifts their employees a lot (gift cards, additional 20% off on top of your everyday 20%)... you should find a new employer.
I know WF is advertised as a "poor place to work" and I can see that in some respects..... I received a ton of overtime and worked 12 hour days a lot. They'd often give me a gift card with $20 on it for doing that, also. They also let me flip between FT/PT/FT. The environment is fun (sometimes). People are friendly and liberal.
I'd rather be there, anytime - just based on situations.
Luckily I'm a student and work for another biz. I haven't started there yet but dread it based on what I've seen and read :(.
Not even willing ot pay their employees the additional $4/min for working during Covid-19. Now that's CHEAP! Even smaller stores can "afford" to do those things and did so before it was gov. mandated.
I left WF after making these posters and putting them up all over Seattle. I felt "abused" in a sense and a little drained (I worked 7 days a week 2X jobs). Protest works. Eventually, we were all offered raises. Only because everyone else cared. They too, can be absolute control freaks.
