I've been wondering if the schedules needed to be changed weekly? I mean our schedules get updated weekly but wouldn't it be easier to have a static schedule and change based on employee needs? or is it like a requirement for the schedule to be different each week?
At one point they tried to do 2 week scheduling but that fell apart fairly quickly as things change drastically from week to week. Mostly the only people that receive consistent schedules are the people who have worked at that store for more than 10 years and have all morning shifts and stuff. It's not a policy or anything to have a weekly shifting schedules and it's more or a byproduct of having a workplace with a revolving door of employees with many different degrees of schedulation needs.

Wait a minute....................... do you mean that Kroger is no longer expecting department leads to make our schedules 2 weeks ahead???? I thought that rule (or guideline) was still in effect at all Kroger Stores. Please clue me in!

At least where I worked the second weeks schedule would never be followed as someone always needed something. Please keep in mind that I haven't worked at kroger for quite some time.
