I made some comments about politics, sexuality, etc. to my coworkers. They all know me to speak my mind. They wrote my comments down and gave to management. I didn't harass anyone just made employees uncomfortable. Why didn't they tell me first before going to management. They are college kids and I have a family to feed. I got terminated and am so pissed.

Why was it necessary to make those comments in the first place?

Thats what you get for asking those college kids to touch your peepee
Best advice about this company: Keep your comments to your self because you don't know what will offend people. For your safety it's best not to speak your mind.
I work with a transgender individual and it's super easy to offend her. She has very unique views of things and it's very difficult to work with her due to this. I've learned not to talk to her due to this. Even if you use the word "normal" she's offended. It's all about her, her, her and if she doesn't get her way she gets offended. When she works I won't talk to her.
Most you can do in situations like these is to write down your comments. If you have to file a union grievance for your protection. If push comes to shove transfer stores before the situation becomes heated. Apply for another position and just say you've been offered a better opportunity.

Were you warned before in the past? If so, I can understand their point of view. Talking about sexuality, politics is generally taboo. EVEN IF both parties agree on the subject. Someone could walk in and hear the convo and it can and will go downhill if they feel offended. That is why I never get involved in political discussions of any sort or talk about sexuality. It's common sense.
