Thank you rodney for being an a$$ and reducing store hours more than normal. Most of us are pulling 50+ hr work weeks because of this sh-it and those with hour restrictions can't even get 20 hrs a week. When someone calls out there is no fu-cken back up help. People are quitting like flies and we're having a hard time keeping people motivated positively. Moral is so low people are walking or throwing tantrums or calling out all the fu-cken time. Wtf? You don't give a shi-t about your workers. The job is set up one of two ways: A) minimum wage cycle to keep workers at minimum wage by making the job so shi-tty they quit. or B) long term workers that want to stay but you won't even give us the hours to do a less than half a$$ed job. Your corporate makes up one rule book which makes sense on paper but in reality it suc-ks a$$ because how we do things in the store doesn't always work with a fu-cken fictional how to book. I fear school is the only thing keeping me positive in your shi-tty decisions.
Sorry but I'm going back to requesting 2-3 days off in esced just to have a fu-cken weekend. 1.5 months of 10+ day work weeks fu-ck no. I don't want nor need full time. I'm only doing this to pay the bills and health insurance. One paycheck goes to the bills. One goes to living the rest goes to savings and I already have a nest egg. I don't want more than 32 hrs a week. If even that. I just do this job to get out of the house and for insurance. No wonder you can't keep people. I'd quit but society ain't hiring right now.
Can't wait for classes to start. Time to get a real job. This darn pandemic has set back my plans.
Customers are definitely noticing that they have better options. Please open a market across the street.
Yep fu-ck kroger. I'm going back to calling out 2-3 times a month. Everyone else does it and. The most senior people have been doing it for years and still have their job without any repercussions. Fu-ck it!
This is HORRIBLE. I came here to this forum just to vent about how bad it is at our store. Our deli/bakery should have 4 people at all times and we are running with TWO. one in deli, one in bakery. And guess what. Today, the deli opener called in so I (the backup) ran around between both departments. While my lead (who is supposed to be on VACATION) came in to help get strawberries dipped for yet another bakery/floral holiday. I just do not get it. What are they trying to do to us? Our schedule is so bare between vacations and people just flat out leaving or getting fired. Our night deli closer also called in so that left one closer and we all have over time. And they are on our butt about every minute if overtime. Are they blind or ignorant?? Today our meat department had to be run by one person because one of the leads had to leave because of overtime. They keep piling on more and more work with absolutely no means of getting it done! Ugh. I am just ready to throw my hands up but on the other hand I dont want to let kroger beat me. Someone send help wahhhhhh
