Talked to our shop steward the other day and she tells me that negotiations on the new Atlanta/Savannah contracts are not going good. "They are very far apart" and I think this doesn't bode well. We're headed for a strike if we don't get major compensation improvements.
Typically if it gets close to the renewal date and there isn't an active contract they will continue under the old contract for several months. You don't have to worry I HIGHLY doubt there will be a strike.
