I feel like kroger lifted the covid call out leniency too quickly. There's been a time or two I've been sick. The only way they believed me was when I puked on the check stand. Even though I called out when the store opened. We've had a couple positive cases at my store but they won't tell us. Now instead of being lenient they're as-es when we call out for being sick.
We also need hazard pay again. If their gonna mandate the face diapers then they also need to mandate hazard pay. Im not wearing a mask till they start with the hazard pay as well. Guess Ill just be coughing and spreading diseases everywhere

I agree with this, because you can never tell who "just didn't want to work that day", all calls off are treated like your "just not wanting to work" instead of actually being sick or feeling ill. Part of the problem is the skeleton scheduling and the expectation that you should do 125% of what your actually able to do. With the labor market the way it is, COVID cases rising, don't expect a lot of things to change, but also don't expect anyone to actually get fired, since there at times isn't anyone to replace people.
OH>>>>> to the HR people that thought it was the smartest idea to hire MINORS for every position, hope you still feel the same in the new few months when school is back. Nothing is wrong with minors, but you can't run a year round business for them making a larger percentage of your employee base.
