Stepping down in hrs enough of this b.s. I use to work 35-45 hrs but I'm so sick of this b.s. going on I've decided to step back to 28 hrs a week until the company fixes their issues. Even Rodney admitted there's a staffing issue. Slashed hours repeatedly. Enough to the point where the company fails to provide it's associates livable paychecks if that. 1-2 staff members per department regardless of store grossing, regardless of prime time. Zero back up help when lines get long. Customers getting aggressive due to increased wait times. As a cashier who works at a c class store I'm surprised people get pri-ssy about having to wait behind 1 fu-cken individual for 2 minutes. I've worked at Target and WalMart and the lines are a hell of a lot longer dumb as-ses. Vacation requests not always accepted. Totally miserable on my days off from how pis-sy customers are getting. Enough of this cr-ap. Like I said this is a health insurance job. Fu-ck it.
"staffing" isnt issue for my store. they are only giving us half the hours we actually need. its just under the size of a marketplace but they treat it like its a store with 10 aisles. i work a perishable department and i was by myself the wHOLE day, the day before an inventory.
as far as the customers go once they go negative just dont talk to them. i started doing that right when rona started and have been much happier. if mngmt says anything just say youve been having hearing problemss
I'm thinking the Holidays will be a make or break for the employees. But the problem is they will say "COVID" is the staffing issues, other then looking at the whole picture. Yes, they may hire people, but at some point they will tell them there isn't any ELMS hours available. Remember when they hired a lot of people during the early stages of COVID before higher $$ for unemployment, what happened to all those people? Schedule whatever you want, then.........back to no hours.
