I received a constructive advice notice
Permalink

Hi, I went to work and received a constructive advice notice saying that I made a coffee drink and did not pay for it. I am new and a former employee had told me that we could have 1 drink per shift. I got zero training when I first started, on day 3 I was left completely alone.

I could get fired on the spot or call the union number, I called the number, it has been two weeks and I have not gotten to speak to anyone.

Has this happened to anyone else? Will I keep my job? It said on the paper that I had been warned in the past, and that is a complete lie.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Start looking for a new job.

Sounds like you got a "suspended pending investigation/termination" notice for theft.  They should be able to show you when and by who you were warned.  Basically means you have been terminated unless the union will fight for you.  Call the union steward everyday until they respond to you if you really want the job back.  The next job has always been better for me.

Why is the former employee a former employee?  They did you dirty and told you wrong.

How long have you worked for kroger?  What department?

I do not know how other retail stores roll.  But, at Kroger we do not buy merchandise on the clock.  We are not supposed to eat or drink on the clock.  We do not get anything for free unless a store manager approves it first.  Never trust a coworker with your job.

Good luck going forward.
