With theft being out of control and more and more stores closing over it it, do you see a day coming when virtually everything is on line pre pay and curb dash? do you think that would be cost effective?

I see more "dark stores" in our future.

I think we'll see stores remaining as they are, but in a vastly limited version. The acceptable loss ratio will have to cover stuff nobody wants to steal, basically, but won't affect the bottom line too much even if they do.

Covid Culture has brought online ordering, curb dash, etc. to us to stay, and that's no coincidence. The One Percenters made more money in just one year, 2020, than ever before in human history.

These are seperate issues but with equal importance in the chaniging face of retail.

I don't think retail stores will be eliminated, but the future or a variety of different retailers offing only one category will be eliminate and only "Walmart" type multidepartment stores will be around. In reality, the retail names you currently see on stores will most likely be the names you see in the future, no new business will open retail locations. Its reality, online will stay, but most likely level off and "Mom and Pop" stores will come and go, catering to the niche markets that come and go. Also, I would expect to see the number of stores continue to decline and neighborhood shopping centers start to go away, while regional destination centers be the norm.

"Food deserts" will grossly magnify despite claims of racism while profitable areas will have absurd levels of pickup, delivery, and otherwise automated catering.

Washington will make things worse for regular people at every step.  Because regular people can't afford lobbyists.

 Agree.

Anyone still clinging to this ridiculous belief that we're 'free' or that the electoral process is in any way fair and impartial is smoking crack.

It has always been and will always continue to be: He with the most gold rules.
