Last night I had a customer come in and be an @$$ about a price. He kept making up stories about how he was this store last week and it was that price. I told him we couldn't price honor other stores within the company. Even if it's our sister store up the road. A lot of stores do flash sales and others do not. I'm glad we can't price honor other stores. The guy was such an @$$ and demanded the manager for a $50 item down to $25. I keep up-to-date with prices in the area and this guy was fraud. We asked him to go grab the coupon and the flyer. He never came back. I'm all for making it right but they were an @$$ from the beginning. They were a 50+ year old adult and threw a tantrum and after 2 min of dealing with this guy I called a manager and walked off.
The customer is not always right and we can't just price over ride items because you say it is this price. When the bill is due you can't pay what you want and still get the item. It doesn't work like that. Sweet hearting is a write-upable offense and when customers start being @$$es I just tell them of the rule. Don't get me wrong I worked at a company where we could price match but that was a bi-tch.
