OK, to begin with, I feel very sorry for your CC and I can sympathize with your anger at the woman who was mean and hateful with him. So don't be offended with me, but I have to say that you are falling into the trap of classing everybody of a certain demographic together, like they are ALL like that. Just because one 80-year old woman is mean and hateful doesn't mean ALL are. It's not fair to generalize and say that you no longer have respect for the elderly. That's going WAY overboard.
And speaking of the elderly and computers....... I know several older people that surf the internet daily, including my mother who checks up on various news sites literally EVERY DAY and she is 87. She's more informed than the average 17-year old.

You can find every kind of personality among the elderly, just like you can find every kind of personality (nice, mean, hateful, kind, evil, nasty, sweet) in the very young, or blondes, or brunettes, or redheads, or Hispanic, or white, or black.

Good for you! Great you're standing up for others and yourself. Not all people suck but it doesn't take too many to put you over the top and wanna walk off into the widerness alone.
