Maybe if you can prove you lost it. But just by word of mouth...no.
Our manager says they will give the money back ONLY IF it can be PROVEN that it was lost and belongs to said customer. Other than that. Nope. Your loss

No Kroger will blame the Bank. The Bank will blame Kroger. And it is really Kroger or the Gas station it is never the Bank. Kroger and other stations put that sign that the bank puts a hold. But it's the gas station that messes up or sometimes the customer pushes debit instead of credit. Always use Credit at gas pump and never ever use a PayPal Cash card.

I went to a Gas station a few days ago and I chose Credit and also used my Zip Code. It asked for my pin. Never ever put your pin at the gas pump. If you use credit it should ask for zip code only and not pin. I am glad I had sense enough to go to another store. Oh, and I have stopped buying gas from Kroger my car and truck get's better gas mileage. Kroger is cheap gas people think they are getting a good deal. But the gas is cheap and not good for engine.

If your using a "Prepaid" Debit or regular Debit, things are not as clean cut as a credit card. In reality, if your using any account that has limited funds, use a different card or always prepay. With how "Paying-at-Pump works a hold is placed on your card and then released after the true purchase total is known. The issue is some financial institutions do not drop or adjust the holds until days later, which is why people always say they are overcharged.

If you lose money at the fuel center, you deserve you deserve to lose every ****ing cent.

It's a goddamned gas station, not a casino.

i work in a Kroger Fuel Center. We are having problems with people claiming they lost money and want a refund. Tell them to go inside and talk to a manager. People are slick-they pump the gas and claim they didn't get it or the pump is broken!

Theres a guy that pulls this scam, or tries to. He says the pump is not working but lo and behold when we check it after he leaves, it's working fine. We NO LONGER give him a refund in the fuel center. EVEN IF the pump is actually broken now because hes done this scam and gotten away too many times.

The first time and second time we usually give benefit of the doubt. Especially if the guy is not belligerent and combative. By the third time we dont fall for it.
