Dear shoplifters:

Company is cracking down on you people. Management stopped several people this week. They're tired of seeing people have zero consequences for their actions. They sent multiple people off to jail, trespassed a couple family rings and are over baring with people that fake scan their orders at s.c.o. You have been warned. Your karma will catch up to you people like it or not eventually. It's a shame society has come to this much theft? Ever hear of thou shall not steal. You're sending your selves to hell people. Wake up.

As much as I would  ABSOF*CKING LOVE to see shoplifters get busted, let's think realistically. Do you honestly think Kroger cares? Even if they did by some SMALL chance, do you think they would honestly have the b@lls to try and stop someone? Hell, we're lucky if they even call for security or call them out.

Kroger items are insured. They can write it off and not loose much, if any money. Therefore for safety we cannot stop them. But let ME catch those sons of b*tches TRY and walk out with MY PERSONAL  property from the breakroom. Theyll need to be seen by a doctor. (Yes, we've had shoplifters venture into our backroom break area and help themselves to employee property.

Kroger and Walmart especially make it too damn easy. They almost tell you to do it! The SCO is a joke and is responsible for prolly 80% of the theft.... It's one of those things where you truly can't unring the bell. My 'theft fund' has grown to over $1500 over the last year.

Y'know, so much of our cultural 'controls' are based on invisible leashes. We fall in line and comply with things mostly out of age-old habits that were instilled based on mythical consequences if we don't.

Me? I'm testing more and more limits every day biggrin

a customer could walk out of the door with 2 carts full of unpaid groceries and i wouldn't bat an eye. if anything, i don't care if kroger loses a tiny bit of money, as long as i get my check every week

And this attitude, spread out nation wide, is why retail in general is fked and why we're edging ever closer to having everything sold on line and door-dashed. It's gonna have to come to that. Stores are getting literally shut down due to rampant theft.

Which sucks for the poor, simple, honest people who don't have the where-withall to be doing all that. But ultimately, these are businesses that cannot continue to exist like this.

Last week the most obnoxious turd employee (current, not record-holder) was having a ball with a walkie-talkie playing surveillance. I promise you that no matter how low you think you are, Kroger is not better than you. Stealing really is wrong. Shopping at Kroger stores also, because that are run by gangsters.

Never apply to work for them.
