I CAN'T REACH THE GODDAMN TRASH SHOOT I'M ONLY 5'2 BUT I CAN'T CLOSE IT.
Also, How can ppl last 8+ years on this job. This is my first day but gosh working at a grocery store retail is physically tough but laid back once you got stock out. I heard that someone who worked 21 years at kroger was fired for a simple mistake. ( Read it on twitter) I believe it was due to his department wasnt filled up but alot of comments was saying everybody wa sunderstaffed and OP said its only two ppl in that are for day and 3 for evening/night. Chile these 2 years need to fly by because that's how long I'm staying at kroger then I may look at JCPENNY or a warehouse job.

Mostly it's about who you're able to make friends with. I stayed for 6 years and knew people who were there for double that. If you're not one of the "well-liked" people then you'll be on the chopping block more than most.
About the "not being tall enough" thing - there are normally stepping stools that the night shift use to stock high shelves and there might be one in floral. See if you can get one of the other employees who have been there longer to show you where they are normally kept.
