I thought I've heard or seen just about everything dumb that corporate has done for this company.
Until now.
As most of you know, all of the money for the store is kept in a safe. That safe is located in a secure area, usually in a separate room behind the customer care desk that is always locked from the outside. However, some corporate moron decided to install a safe OUTSIDE customer care.
I kid you not.
Outside customer care. Where all the money for the store will be at.
I would like to know what this moron was drinking, snorting, shooting, smoking, AND downing until the dumb plan was conjured up.
I was talking to the supervisor about it and we both agreed that this has all kinds of wrong happening. And that the moron needs to be slapped upside the head. Hard.
There may as well be a sign posted: PLEASE ROB US! COME ONE, COME ALL! EASY ACCESS! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TAKE EVERYTHING!
Is it an actual safe or the new fancy money counter/sorter/dispenser robot machine? Our new robot money counter is out in the open behind the counter too.
Don't worry, I am sure some brain trust will out do this idea.

OP here. It might be what you described. I'm not completely sure. But our store is located in a college town and stuff does happen. Like I said, just another temptation for thieves.
Where and how does Corporate come up with these wonderfully inbred retarded ideas--not sorry, but that's the nicest way to say it. After corporate goes home for the night and goes to bed does the corporate guy suddenly think "hey let's do this xxx..." and the next day run it by the team? Seems like if the main guy thinks it, all the 'Yes people' agree to it.

They come up with these ideas to "justify their job titles" and to keep their jobs.
They copy most ideas from other retailers, change a few names and details and call it "new and exciting for Kroger". I think Kroger hires a lot of people from other retailers.
