I just been working in produce since I started working in April and three days ago my manger told me Ill be moving to front end.
I talked to front end manager and she said I will be soon and even the store department manager said the same yet no one will tell me why when I ask them.
I already told them Im only Comfortable working Reshop or grocery ( can goods, dry stock) and also helping dairy department out as well.
Should I contact my union head or leave it be?
They got me unscheduled this week and idk whats going on and my manager said something about hours.
pfsheeeeeit, get the hell on outa there. Do it. No 2 week notice---2 SECOND notice. You can do this. Jobs are fking EVERYWHERE now.
As for refusing the move? Uncomfortable? They dont give a sht. 'Needs of the business'. Their excuse for everything.

I have to agree with the getting out while you can part. However, I'm not sure we're getting the full story. Usually when they move someone from a department to the front end it's because the department manager didn't want them in their department.
manager needs folks who can work evening their night shift. From what my supervisor told me. They know my situation of transportation I can only work till 3.
Contact your union rep asap. They can not just fire/remove you from a position. This is called just cause unless they have a good reason to do so. Contact your union rep asap (like today) and ask them to figure it out. File a grievance.
I talked to a union rep in the store today she said yes but no. They can however since I was unscheduled they couldnt but I agreed to work in front end for Reshop since (ex manager) was being a bitch about needing people for night shift yet he barley has morning shift.
