Working grocery has made me loose faith in humanity. Your average joe is a decent person but once you get them around food and money most people become total @$$ holes. Don't get me wrong the job is already demining enough, you have to work with arrogant customers that think you're pretty much a slave and they're so use to getting in and out quit they throw tantrums when they have to wait in line or don't get their way. It's like working with fu--cken elementary schoolers all day long. Been doing grocery for 20 years and it ain't getting better people! It's only getting worse and clerks are getting treated worse and worse by society. I'd quit by my area is $24/hr and most other jobs in my area average 25% less. I remember why I did 8 years night crew at a store that closed at night. Working day sucks @$$. Now the stores are short staffed and that's only throwing salt on the wounds.
