In my department our team leader says the scan wasnt done right its never done right why do it if the inventory numbers are worse than before it was done. Is it like that in all stores?

Which department?

Honestly, yes...

I think it is because we are too stupid to do it well.  Or, the programmer made it too complicated.  The programmer just needs to write one script and then apply it to every product.  We, the grunts, have to scan all 30,000 products in the store.

Thankfully, the warehouse never makes mistakes and sends us exactly what we order.  We have zero theft.  We have plenty of employees to get all these scans done and stock the shelves.  Our customers are always happy to enter a fully stocked store because of these wonderful tools our upper management creates for us.

Either the programmers didn't take everything into consideration when they wrote the software or the people at the office don't know what they're doing.  We have to take inventory every period in the deli bakery.  We count it the same way each time.  Sometimes it will come back good.  Other times it will come back bad.  This last inventory we threw out several boxes of cakes and several buckets of icing that had expired.  We didn't bother with scanning them out.  We didn't order them.  They were added out.  You would think we would get a bad inventory because of that.  It turned out to be one of our better ones.
