Due to the cost cutting measures of the company cutting hours it is only encouraging the increase of theft through self checkout.
Too many people think they've scanned an item when in reality the system never recognized it. So they continue.
The system is so finicky with weight that it pi--ss people off and actually encourages miss scanning of items.
People often fail to clear the weight message "Did you place bags in the bagging area." Start scanning only to get done and realize sh--it nothing took so it annoys the customer and makes them more irritable to assist.
Due to most places having six terminals, when it gets busy we can not watch people.
Too many times people fake scan items. (Regardless of what you call this system it's still called: Theft!)
Too many people scan all their times, have payment fail then they decide to steal it instead.
Too many people take mark down stickers and attach them to higher priced items then get pissy when the system weight challenges it. (This is called Theft!).

Retail greed has been out of control for years, but the plandemic has blasted it over the top. Now, anything and everything is used to excuse spiraling price rising. Sco ensured all this from the start. You've got one freaked out, over worked person trying to watch dozens of people at once.
Follow the money news. Starting from 2020 (coinciding with the 'pandemic'), the word's wealthiest have made more proft than ever before in history---even as take home pay has dropped and taxes have spiked.
So of course theft is up. And the Super Rich have no one to blame but themselves. Me? Soons I find a way to steal gasoline without siphoning it, that's next.
