I thought that was a missing child term exclusive to Walmart. So, when I worked there? Yea. Many times.
It usually turned out to be some dip-sht 'guardian' too preoccupied with their shopping to pay attention to their kid, who naturrally would wander around exploring the store.
When I would track them down I was less than pleasant with them. They'd try to swell up back on me and I would pretty much yell in their faces about how easy it is for human monsters to snatch children away.
All but a part of what I will never miss about working in retail.
lol. we haven't even done a test in yeaaaaaars. we used to at least do them monthly. if i had to speculate most of my coworkers dont even know what that is
Yes it happens more frequently at larger stores. Boy to parents get pissy when they find out they can't leave because they have a kid and the parent has to identify them first.
We had one issue where the child was an adult child of like 20 and she went ot the restroom to pee and didn't tell mom. Sorry but that's not a code adam. They weren't even disabled or low functioning. When you're 18 you are legally counted as an adult. This sure the hell pissed off the adult child.
