Short staffed on cashiers. Customers still line up like there is one. Refuse to believe sco is all that there is.
Kroger: This is getting old running constantly on skeleton crew. You give people jobs but they refuse to show up for them half the time. Being a cashier I can't tell you how many people get pissy as hell and won't believe there's no cashier. Refuse to take their 25 item order through sco. Then acct like a total di--ck over it. Please let us put the short staffed signs back up!
They need to either get rid of all the cashier lanes or get rid of sco. This half n half sht is fking everything up.
Sco is the future any way, so that's the one to keep. Once people stop having a choice to b itch about they'll get fully used to sco, and life at Kroger will im prove for everybody.

No people will steal like crazy and the lines will be worse. also most people are stupid and cant work those machines without having their hand held.
What do you do if someone comes through with a big order that won't all fit in the bagging area?
Override bagging, or temporarily leave an item there to trick the register into thinking something is in the bagging area. When you are done ringing the last item, remove the previous item.you bought and leave.
Kroger isn't so much short-staffed as much as it's low-paid. That kind of thing is real tough to make a compelling sign for.
Around here, rent is $1400+ for a terrible ghetto apartment that may or may not be within walking or bus distance. If you're really really (un)lucky, that's three paychecks in a punishment department.
Assistant store managers can afford a car. Anyone lesser can't afford to maintain or repair a car.
I don't even want to work here. Why does it have to be so difficult?!
I'm sorry. I forgot about the needs of the shareholders. Please forgive me.

Depends on store management. I've seen a store that schedules cashiers in mornings based on how the day time customers may behave while other customers prefer other cashiers. Some stores wants baggers. Some store just need enough cashiers to shorten the lines.
