Anyone else's store cracking down on Not Accepting returns from other locations?

Lately we've had a scam increase of bad returns and this is how they're combating it. If over $20 they reject the return if receipt shows another location.

I thought kroger's policy was to accept returns from other stores? I've never seen so many people pissed off. To be fair we've been getting a lot of high return scams of late and this is how they combat it.

We have a lot of high end returners that are more frequently than normal. They all have receipts paid for with cash very clearly pulled from the trash can.

I highly encourage cashiers and staff to shred receipts before tossing them. Hand crumpling does no good.

Its still gonna get returned regardless. Managers will end up doing it. Theres a certain time frame when to pull this off and they really cant say no.

Yes they can, and they do at my work. Why should we loose out on money? What do WE gain?

However, IF your not a DiCk about it, we sometimes to the return. But the moment you act like an a$$hole, we refuse.

To add on:

My store is tired of people scamming us. Due to being sick of being taken advantage of: management has cracked down on the rules.

Crack heads always request cash from dirtier than sh--it receipts. Then become affes about it when they don't get their way.

It is company policy to put a return back on the same card in which it was purchased on. I can't tell you how many times this prevents customers from being able to return items correctly.

We have regulars that think they're being slick but their really being aff holes and dicks about it.

The scam is going pretty well at these 2 stores near us. We spot the new people and they dont know any better so we get cash back for some of the free items we got a week ago. Holidays really pay off with this gig.
