Today we have a "supposed" walk-thru by our VP. (They're actually showing up this time surprisingly.) So today they had me clock in early (8-5 instead 10-7). So I clock in do some cleaning and work clicklist. When I take my lunch about 45 minutes later, they say "we're having you clock in early so now is the time to clock back in." Like wtf? Ok...I guess I clock in then, even though I don't FEEL like it.
Then when I was talking to my friend about it and me not ready to clock in, they say "you can clock out and go home rather stay your full shift."
I'm choosing to stay until 6pm (I clocked in at 8:52 rather than 8am because they notified me last minute; as in today last minute.
Can they write me up, or attempt to being as I chose to stay until 6pm? If they try and short me on my check I can always send a copy of hours worked that day to union rep to force them to pay me what I am owed.
My friend advised against it because he says if i stay over
I will still get my money but they will make it "difficult" for me to work there, or will cut my hours to the bare minimum allowed to "get even."

Why would you want to stay? If they told me to go home, I would leave faster than a jackrabbit on moonshine.
