Can you do verbal? I have asked for ID if someone looks real young. Several weeks ago a kid said "I left my ID in the car" and he never came back.

If they say they forgot it/I left it in the car/ I lost it...well they need to go get it! We aren't responsible for their lost ID at their own hands.
The system no longer allows by-passing manually. The best part is when a customer requests a manual over ride we get to walki our lead in the main store across the street and they have to spend 5 min walking across the street to come over and over ride it. Aff holes get what they want.
Kroger has failed too many id scans and sold to minors too many a time it was this or loose their liquor license. So, guess what due to employee blunders every one gets to suffer. You can not sell to people if their id's
Are not valid id's on the government approved list.
A photo copy of the id. Not allowed
Digital copy on phone: not allowed even if scan bar is scanable.
Warped, damaged or peeling id. they've cracked down on this rule.
Student id, library card.... other ideas in this idea. Not allowed.
If id is expired by so much one day: not allowed. Even if they're clearly of age.
If you get a pissy person you can deny sale. I've refused sales for people screaming and yelling at me.
