Before anyone asks why I don't call corp. or a store manager /HR person, I always get my research info from the people on ground level actually doing the jobs. They're the most accurate and with least reason to lie or cover up the truth.

Benefits are dirt cheap, but they aren't required to (and sometimes won't) give you more than a 12 hour week depending on union contract. Random days and shifts.
Unless you are already on EBT and Section 8, Kroger probably isn't for you. And probably not even then.
