after more than six years, i was promoted to customer
i started in the store as e-commerce, moved to front end, then in the pharmacy.
hated being there the last 3 years
long story short, i was told i was being fired, but i asked if i could quit and they said yes. they said they were still marking me as unhirable because i technically quit without notice.
i thought about trying to fight it but i want to be able to tell prospective employers i left on my own terms. in spirit, i did think about and talk about leaving every single day.
i'm worried about income, but i feel SO much relief. i was not appreciated for any effort to go above what was required, and there was no incentive to do so.
i left making base pay due to recent pay raises.
i can't for sure say don't work at kroger but the kroger pharmacy i worked in was hectic and it aged me. i forgot that i can be a friendly person because i was angry all the time
Sounds like you were bad at your job. Probably the usual lazy unruly associate. No manager is giving you a reference and that would be a bad idea to have one do that as Im sure they will list all the negatives you showed working there.
