So this company is trying to promote the whole "Zero Hunger | Zero Waste" thing while throwing out tons of uneaten bakery/deli goods per day. Make this make sense.
Zero hunger zero waste seems to mean they expect cashiers to ask for donations. Zero waste: shouldn't bakery goods that are "not good enough" to be sold be donated anyways? Deli food as well...I'm sure food banks and soup kitchens have refrigeration areas to keep said food cold.
Our bakery products get donated. The only time something gets thrown away is if the package is damaged or a refrigerated item was left out for an unknown length of time.
