I am still at my job I left Kroger for 14 years ago and it is my full time career. I am wondering if Kroger would hire me back once a month part time so I can get grocery discounts. I want to work 5 hours once a month. Really I could care less about Kroger but just wondering if they would do this. That's why I want to work as little as possible. I don't really need the grocery discounts but it would be helpful.
You're still at your other job yet you want to be rehired back at Kroger for whatever amount of time you want to put in for. Just to take advantage of the system.
I see so many wrongs here.
First, good luck trying to get them to work around your schedule. They will make it to where you have to work what they give you so you'll have to work around their's.
Secondly, when they find out your true intentions, and they will since gossip spreads fast, they probably won't have much use for you. You'll just be wasting company time.
And finally, even if you do get what you want, you might have the fuel discount, but you'll end up using more fuel going between jobs.
A lot of people do the bare minimum hrs for health insurance. They leave into the real world then come back.
This job is a health insurance job for me. I use the income from this job so I don't have to touch my investments. I just keep rolling cd's back into cd's when they run out on time and very rarely do I need to pull from them. I don't trust that the pension will be there with this company upon retirement.
The union benefits can be tempting but what an awful company to get mixed up with. The sometimes surprising app discounts come with a hacked phone. The card discounts, I don't know. A certain percentage it just be what you want bad enough.
To your question, not really. Whatever they want in return will make it not worth it. Plus they are just plain unreliable and senslessly cruel. I'm afraid you will be sorry
