First don't defend someone abusing the sick call out policy. Secondly, show up to work this line of work sucks but still needs to be taken seriously. the key to this business is just showing up. many of us are stuck in this dead end rut because we have bills to pay. We are so sick of those that do not take this line of work seriously or half a--$$ed seriously. Our lead keeps abusing the sick policy. Good lord just take fmla when you know your health acts up. Third, yes we all know it takes 2 yrs with the union protection to get fired. I keep seeing people abuse this. If you get to this point please just find a new employment. There's a million other jobs out there. You people are just afraid of change.

Our lead had cancer 4 yrs ago. It took 10 months before corporate came in and wrote him up. Mean while we'd have to cover his rear and be down a person. Manager was being respectable but it was even pressing her buttons. Eventually they had to discuss it with corporate and store level staff was becoming super frustrated with him.
