I didn't use to mind kroger even sucked them up when they did some really half-@$$ed things but they're sort of crossing a line where I now need a dr note for slip resistant shoes. All because they're forcing shoes  for crews merchandise. I tried them a long time ago and my feet just hated them. I'm getting hara---ssed by our hr rep (seem to be singled out) about not having shoes sold from shoes for crews. Now I have to get a bloody dr note for my damn shoes. I'm sorry kroger but that one is going too far. Shoes for crews does not work for my narrow feet and they do not sell narrow shoes.

Wait until you have to start wearing the required underwear.  Whatever you do, don't sign anything.  Don't even initial it and put RTS (refused to sign) on it.  The only thing you have to sign is your timesheet, and we don't even have those anymore.  Anytime someone hands you something to sign, don't.  If they say you have to, tell them no you don't.

Go to your local Walmart or shoe store and get a pair of work shoes or boots that will fit you. You can even wear the ones with steel-reinforced toe plates. They can't say a word since the footwear not only meets, it surpasses any kind of safety measure. Shoes for crews are just cheap and worthless junk like anything else this company tries to provide.

Glad you can get dr notes digitally now. It's to cut down on man hours and to keep appointments open for unnecessary things like this.

God I hope we don't go back to Don's Attire clothing. I am allergic to their clothing. (Literally.)

Sorry kroger but this one goes too far. You've always offered an alternative. Because you know that there will be a small percentage that needs to be excluded but now it's all or nothing. You can't do that you have to legally offer alternatives. Now that I have a dr note if you so much request me to remove my shoes I can sue. If you so much force me to wear the damn slip cover I can sue or file a grievance for refusal to use the dr note.

That's what I did and it's work shoes (slip resist) and apparently it's not allowed. Because shoes for crews "does not sell that brand."

I don't think they can literally force you to wear Shoes For Crews. If it hurts your feet and does not work well, then guess what? No shows for crews for you.

As long as shoes are closed toed or whatever needed to do the job then that's good enough.
