Old Kroger Stock Certificates
Permalink

Hey i was a Kroger employee in the 1970s and have a stock certificate and a bond certificate - I am trying to see if there is still a record of me and if there is a way to cash these out - any ideas?

Call the union office and ask.  That is where I would start.

It is unusual to hold stock certificates because most are on computers in accounts.  The bond might have an issuing bank on it.  Find out who owns that bank now and ask them.

You could try Merrill Lynch.  I think they do most employee 401ks now.

Post back if you think about it.  I am curious how this works out for you.

Consult a professional.  Securities and exchange people of our government may know.  I want you to get every penny you are owed so bad!

If you have a record of the brokerage where the stock was purchased at, give them a call. When I was in the market, I had a similar situation with one of my late Dad's stocks and it was taken care of. Stocks always have value and they may have changed names since they were purchased
