It is such a waste of time, especially for us in the Fuel Center because most of the stuff has nothing to do with us. We have had specific training that we did months ago (fire at the pump/pumps going out of order/closing procedures). Our Admin was telling me that if people won't do it they will get written up. There was a meeting with our new HR regional and our Admin brought it up and she said it came from Corporate. Why would someone at the Fuel Center need to know how to drive/handle a forklift?

Maybe they (Kroger) think that if everybody is cross trained on everything, they can just put you wherever they want. Instead of working in fuel, they might have you putting away the dairy or frozen order. People calling in? Well, now you can do their job as well as yours now.
