Our "new" break room is where our pick up area used to be. They spent a ton load of money to convert to a pick up area and it didn't last barely a year and they moved THAT to a different area of the store. Makes no sense!!
Is your breakroom bigger or smaller? We don't have that problem, but they have a habit of taking our tables when there is a major holiday to put a ****-ton of product in it. Last time they took ALL our tables and all we had left to use as tables were the milk crates IF we were lucky to find them.
We were not happy. But the merchandisers of said depts that took out chairs were 'sorry, NOT sorry.'

At my store they took drug/GM side of receiving area and making that area into a conference room which is dumb asf to me

Needs of the business come first before sweaty butt smelling ASSociates. And lets be honest you ASSociates dont do any work what so ever. You all are always on breaks. Use the bathroom for a break room and while youre at it brush and wash your dirty asses.
Labor laws allow/require you to have a break room for lunch breaks and such. Not everyone has a car to take break in. You need a locker area to store your stuff in. Please file an ethics report over this.
Don't let htem shove your lockers next to the seafood broom cubard closet. So your stuff smells like fish all day so no one wants to use them.
