Store finally realized if they schedule me more than a 7+ day work week I'll call out in the middle regardless. They finally got the hint of years of fighting with them and realized if I work 7+ day work week I'll just call out on day 6. Each time I work more than 7+ days in a row I always get sick and I've just started calling out on day 5 or 7 when they pull this garbage. After the third attempt in a row of a 8 day work week I just call out on day 5 or 6. Kroger, the thing is we are human beings we are not there to abuse and work to exhaustion to the point of quitting. You can't schedule your staff a 70 hr work week totaling 8 days straight because you're short staffed. This causes high turn over and people to change their availablity to part time of 4 days a week. I sure the hell had to or my store would keep pulling this on me. It's exhausting. I was highly debating quitting as well due to the tired frustration of long work weeks. No, kroger if you pull this garbage on me again I'm filing a union greivence.
You people need to learn to strike now and then. We lost the "If you work 6+ days in a row after day 6 it is counted as over time." a few contracts ago. We lost this because you people have no spine so you let the company walk all over you. Good lord grow a spine and just get another form of temp employment to fill the void. In the 90's when we striked this is what I had to do.
